Abstract

The piston/cylinder unit has a working piston (3) which is displaceable in a working cylinder (1) in a reciprocating manner and is firmly connected to a piston rod (6) mounted in a non-rotatable manner. In order to achieve as simple a construction as possible and inexpensive manufacture with reliable longitudinal guidance and sound sealing, a guide unit is allocated to one of the end plates (4) of the working cylinder (1), which guide unit is firmly connected to the piston rod (6) and is guided on the outside of the working cylinder (1) in a non-rotatable manner.
