Abstract

1437623 Harrows C VAN DER LELY NV 14 June 1973 [23 June 1973] 28467/73 Heading A1B A harrow comprises overlapping rotary, resilient tines 3 supported on a frame 1 to which ground engaging rollers 32 are attached by way of arms 28 that are pivoted to frame side plates 26 at 27 and adjustably secured thereto by bolts 28A and apertures 38. The rollers offer support for the frame and govern the working depth of the tines by way of the setting of the bolts and apertures. The tines, which are S-shaped in plan and inverted U-shaped in elevation have soil working portions 5 each resiliently deflectable about the axis of the horizontal tine portion integral with it; they are also mounted on shafts 2 rotated by bevel gears 12, 13 shafts 15, 16 and bevel gears 21, 22. The rollers are mounted on support shafts 30 which are independently rotatable by means of their journals with arms 28. The shafts are interconnected via an inner central shaft 31. Each roller comprises rods which are bent at 37.
