Abstract

1437453 Mine chocks SIPOREX Ltd 2 April 1974 [31 March 1973] 15605/73 Heading E1E A mine chock adapted to provide controlled yield consists of an autoclaved aerated block of concrete 1 internally re-inforced by meshwork 2, 3, 4 which extend parallel to opposed elongate load bearing faces of the block; the layers of meshwork being so spaced from each other and from the load-bearing faces that when the blocks are stacked all the reinforcing layers are equi-spaced. The meshwork may consist of welded mild steel wire mesh, be of woven construction or in the form of expanded metal. The chocks are stacked in packs and for details of stacking and other minor details such as the position and arrangement of the re-inforcements, dimensions of the block the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to.
