Abstract

1436654 Potentiometers combined with switches BROWN BOVERI & CIE AG 3 April 1974 [4 April 1973] 14745/74 Heading HIS At one limit of rotation of the insulating shaft 3 of a potentiometer and switch assembly, a cam portion 3a, integral with the shaft, engages a spring blade 4 to open the switch 4b, 5a. The limits of rotation of the shaft are defined by a segment 3b which is also integral with the shaft and which engages a fixed abutment 7a. Contact 5a is integral with a fuse contact 5c. The arrangement may be incorporated in a brightness control device or may be used as a rotary speed controller.
