Abstract

1435632 Rotating packages by frictional contact ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 26 April 1974 [15 May 1973] 18488/74 Heading D1J A drive drum 1 for frictional engagement with a winding bobbin 2 has a pair of frictional surfaces 1', 1" each of which is at least once interrupted as at 10', 10", said pair of frictional surfaces being spaced from each other along the length of the drum, the interruptions 10' in one of the frictional surfaces being shifted about the circumference of the drum with respect to the interruptions 10" of the other frictional surface. In Fig. 1 the interruptions 10', 10" are of rectangular shape. In a modified embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the interruptions 10', 10" are of truncated form, their widest ends facing towards the middle of the bobbin 2 in the longitudinal direction thereof. The frictional surfaces 1', 1" have a higher coefficient of friction than the remaining surface of the drive drum. In Fig. 2 the drum is axially adjustable.
