Abstract

1433798 Doors C LYDEKING 21 Dec 1973 [9 Jan 1973] 59500/73 Heading E1J A double folding partition comprises two sets of hinged panels 5, 6, the sets being suspended from respective rails (11), first alternate hinges 7b of each set having their axes in or outside the outer surface plane of the panels, second alternate hinges 7a of each set having their axes inwardly of the inner surfaces of the panels. This allows interleaving of the folded panels of the two sets. Opposite panels are connected by elastic cords 18 for stabilization of the panels in folded and unfolded positions, and by flexible cords 19 to transfer movement between sets. The panels are suspended on bogies (10) running in rails 11 and guided by pins 8 in lower rails (9). Rails 11 have a common support (12, Fig. 5) which is liftable and lowerable by inflatable tubes (13, 16) to free or engage the lower edges of the panels with lower frame part 1.
