Abstract

1433349 Pile drivers GOTEBORGS BETONGPALAR AB 27 July 1973 [10 Aug 1972] 35969/73 Heading E1H In a vehicle-mounted pile driver, the hammer 28 is mounted on a tiltable lead frame 1 via a longitudinally movable guide-beam 25 having at its upper end a pulley 38 guiding a cable 40 for raising a pile 30 into position for driving, and pulleys 33, 34 guiding a cable 35 secured at one end to the lead frame at 37 and at the other end to the hammer so that as the beam 25 is raised relative to the lead frame, the hammer is raised relative to the beam. The frame 1 is movable longitudinally on a jib 4 by means of hydraulic unit 17, 18 and tiltable by means of hydraulic unit 8, 9, the jib being tilted by hydraulic unit 12, 13. The hammer is actuated hydraulically or may be a free-drop hammer. The beam is moved relative to the frame by hydraulic unit 21, 23. In another embodiment, the pile-driver is mounted on a vehicle having a substantially horizontal jib, and the hydraulic unit 17, 18 is dispensed with.
