Abstract

1431440 Scraper chain conveyers REDLER CONVEYORS Ltd 9 Oct 1973 [10 Oct 1972] 46676/72 Heading B8A A scraper chain conveyer comprises an endless member carrying transverse flight members spaced apart at intervals, mounted in a trunk structure which has a flexible bottom plate movable backwards and forwards along the trunk structure in the line of the conveying run, the bottom plate having an opening therein for discharge of material from the conveyer at a point selected by movement of the bottom plate. In the Figure, flexible belt 16 terminates in a discharge opening formed by a hopper 20, movable by means not shown, e.g. an overhead travelling crane. Drum 19 takes up slack when required. Other embodiments are shown in Figs. 1 and 5-8A (not shown).
