Abstract

1431363 Scaffolding joints TOWER SCAFFOLDING (BRISTOL) Ltd 4 July 1974 29695/74 Addition to 1385878 Heading E1S In a scaffolding, the horizontal poles 10 have at each end a pair of spaced vertical cheek plates 12 secured thereto on opposite sides of the pole and projecting beyond the end to form a vertical channel to receive a vertical pole 30, the cheek plates 12 each having a downwardly open slot 20 which is spaced from the horizontal pole end and engages over a lug 32 projecting from the vertical pole 30, each lug having a retaining head 35 which lies outwardly of the associated cheek plate when assembled. The lugs may be of T-section, as shown, or L-section, and are arranged in pairs at intervals along the pole 30. The horizontal pole construction is identical with that described in Specification Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1385878.
