Abstract

1431334 Spray dispensers CIBA-GEIGY AG 30 March 1973 [31 March 1972 3 April 1972 12 Feb 1973 (2)] 15447/73 Heading B2F In a hand actuated spray dispenser of the type in which material to be dispensed is aspirated by compressed air generated by an internal piston pump, the piston is actuated by a push bar member in the side wall of the dispenser. As shown the piston comprises a flexible member 26 slidable in a U shaped chamber 30 and mounted between a piston body 23 and an actuating push bar member 4 protruding through the side wall of the dispenser. Compressed air is discharged to the aspirator when an actuator 31 on the piston body engages and opens a valve 12, material to be dispensed is contained in a chamber 18 which may include air inlet valve means 13, 17. An extension 20 forms a mouth piece. In a second embodiment the piston is axially slidable and includes a bucket type inlet valve. The piston is actuated by a lever mechanism from the push bar member. The piston includes a valve opening pin.
