Abstract

1431181 Laminated products Y KAWAHARA 22 Aug 1972 39135/72 Heading B5N [Also in Division H4] A front dressing panel 1 for a loud-speaker cabinet, for allowing sound to emerge, comprises a sheet 2 of mouldable plastics material (e.g. acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, polystyrene or P.V.C.) having perforations 3 within the range 1 to 10 mm., the total area of the perforations 3 amounting to 40 to 70% of the total area of the perforations 3 amounting to 40 to 70% of the total area of the sheet 2 (including that of the perforations), and a dressing cloth 4 covering one surface of the sheet 2 and bonded thereto under heat and pressure by means of a synthetic resin bonding agent (e.g. vinyl acetate or acrylic resin). Cloth 4 is a decorative woven or non-woven or braided cloth. The cloth 4 may be inserted into the perforations 3. The sheet 2 may be moulded to a rounded or corrugated shape (Figs. 5, 7, not shown).
