1431176 Treatment of latex RUBBER RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MALAYA 5 July 1973 [5 July 1972] 31544/72 Heading C3E An ammoniated whole field latex (i.e. a field latex which has not been purified) of Hevea brasiliensis is maintained at 40-60‹ C. for at least 24 hours to suppress bacterial acid production. The ammonia content of the latex may be 0À2-0À5% by wt. and the latex may be maintained at the above temperature for up to 5 days.
