Abstract

1435980 L-Arginine AJINOMOTO CO Inc 9 Oct 1973 [9 Oct 1972] 47047/73 Heading C2C L-Arginine is made by culturing in the usual way a bacterium belonging to the genus Brevibacterium which has a nutritional requirement for guanine and a resistance to feedback inhibition by arginine or an arginine analogue (e.g. canavanine, homoarginine and α-methylarginine). The bacterium used in Brevibacterium flavum FERM 1639 which has a resistance to canavanine and also to #.(2-thiazolo)-alanine.
