Abstract

1430216 Selective printing WALTHER BUROMASCHINEN GmbH 1 Oct 1973 [2 Oct 1972] 45841/73 Heading B6F Means for maintaining a print head 4 at a constant distance from record medium 8 regardless of its thickness comprises rollers 17 urging the medium against a platen 6 under bias from a spring 20. The print head 4 is slidably mounted on a carriage (2), Fig. 1 (not shown), and is biased by a spring (15) towards the record medium 8, a roller 22 on the print head engaging a stop bar 21 carried by levers 19 supporting the rollers 17. The print head can be retracted by an electromagnet (12).
