Abstract

1429900 Artificial surface for sliding devices SNOW PRODUCTS INC 18 July 1974 [23 July 1973] 31901/74 Heading A6D An artificial surface for sliding devices comprises a layer of porous artificial turf 15 covered by a further layer of ellipsoidal polythene pellets (not shown) and disposed over a bed of aggregate. The pellets are lubricated by water and/or silicone which is drained via ditches 14. The artificial turf layer is formed by the juxtapositioning of strips 30 of turf 15 stretched between beams 16 with the transverse edges secured together via tape and stakes (not shown). At the perimeter of the surface structure stand upright posts 21 supporting enclosing fencing 24.
