Abstract

1429409 Spinning frames SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 17 April 1974 [28 April 1973] 16819/74 Heading DID A section of a spinning machine has frame walls 3 and longitudinal components 1, 10, 11 the interconnection 4 between the longitudinal components and frame walls being resilient in the longitudinal direction but substantially rigid in the transverse direction. The connecting elements 4 comprise brackets fixed by their ends 40, 41 and with a flexible centre section 42. Successive longitudinal members 1, 10 are joined by resilient "U" shaped members 2 or where the longitudinal elements are ducts 10, 11 by resilient sleeve elements 20. The described construction allows for differential expansion of the longitudinal components and is particularly suitable in e.g. open end spinners with alloy structural members and steel shafting.
