Abstract

1429378 Knotting DITTA MES-DAN DI PIETRO MESSA 10 July 1973 [24 July 1972] 32828/73 Heading D1C A thread-knotting device for making Fisherman's knots includes a member having a V- shaped end against which the threads may be drawn to tighten the knot. The device includes pincers 1 which are holding the threads 5 at the end of the knotting phase and spreading levers 2. Levers 3 are displaced vertically so that the horizontal arms 4 force the threads against V-shaped end 8 of a vertical member 6. The end 8 subjects the threads to a horizontal force which tightens the knot. A thread brake (9, Fig. 3, not shown) is also provided.
