Abstract

1429091 Coating apparatus MAINETTI SpA 19 April 1974 [15 June 1973] 17230/74 Heading B2L Non-stick varnish is applied to the trousers rail of a coat hanger by apparatus comprising a pivotable member 1 which takes a hanger and delivers it to a coating station where a nozzle 9 spreads a varnish on the trouser rail, a conveyor 23 which carries the hanger through an oven 24 and delivers it to a rail 27 of a rotatable device 28 rotation of which is controlled by a counter 26 at the conveyor to load the rails 27 with a predetermined number of hangers. During the coating operation a hanger is held at its shoulder positions by two hooks 7 pivoted by pneumatic rams (15) (Figs 2, 3, not shown) and the trouser rail is supported by a pivotable member 3 while the nozzle 9 traverses the rail. The nozzle is guided by a rail 11 for movement axially of a device 10 which is moved transversely of the apparatus by a chain 18 driven from a motor 19 through a belt 20 and a slipping clutch 21.
