1428773 Retractive switches; thermal switches BURGESS MICRO SWITCH CO Ltd 26 Feb 1974 [2 March 1973] 10360/73 Heading H1N A snap-action switch comprises a housing in which is mounted a snap-acting switching mechanism 6, 12, 14, movable by a push button 18 between a rest position (as shown) and a normally displaced position into and/or out of engagement with one or more fixed contacts 20, the switching mechanism including a current carrying member 14 (coil spring) which, on movement of the switching mechanism by a predetermined amount beyond the normally displaced position engages with an additional contact 26 to establish an electrical path between member 14 and additional contact 26. It is stated that the pushbutton 18 may be operated by a thermally sensitive element (unspecified) and that the snap-acting mechanism may include a leaf spring (unspecified).
