Abstract

1428233 Mowing cutter assemblies INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 22 Feb 1973 [25 Feb 1972] 8649/73 Heading A1F A mower cutting assembly comprises a sickle bar 20 which reciprocates in a space between top surfaces 9, of a plurality of guards 5', with whose edges 12, 13 it co-operates to cut a crop and H-shaped resilient clips 45 which cover two guards 5' and are held in compression between wedge surfaces 41 at a front end portion 35 of the guards 5' and bolts at the rear of the guards. The clips 45 are bent at their front ends 47 such that the angle # is 44‹ (Fig. 5) which is less than the angle α between wedge surfaces 41 and the top surface.
