Abstract

1428217 Roof coverings DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 1 June 1973 [9 Jan 1973] 26360/73 Heading E1W An impermeable plastics sheet 17 is fixed to a roof over heat-insulating slabs 13 by welding or glueing it to discrete flat elements, e.g. metal discs 15 with a plastics coating 18. the upper surfaces of which are rendered sticky before the sheet is laid thereon. The flat elements may alternatively be entirely of plastics, and can be fixed to the roof by separate elements, e.g. by screws 14a, or can be integral with the fixing element. The flat elements 15 are coated with adhesive, or heated by transverse welding or by hot air, to provide the essential stickiness before the' plastics sheet, e.g. in roll form, is applied thereto. The slabs 13 are arranged in staggered rows with the fixing elements 14a arranged therebetween. A roof may be preformed with the plastics covering sheet fixed to it as above, and then placed on the building.
