1427936 Machine tool details UPIS SRL 26 June 1973 [28 June 1972 1 March 1973] 30402/73 Headings B3C and B3B A multi-spindle transfer machine tool comprises a base 1, a rotary indexable workturret 2 on the base, a plurality of workspindles 3, each with a motor, carried in the turret, and a plurality of tools arranged on the base facing the spindles. Each spindle 3 is driven by a pneumatic or hydraulic motor 4, Fig. 2, and by an hydraulic motor 9 via gearing 11, 12, the motors being supplied by a fluid distributor (18), Fig. 2a (not shown). Work turret 2 is indexed by gearing 7, 8, Fig. 6, and milling, boring or screwing tools are carried by tool heads which are movable on slides 22, Fig. 1. In a modification, Figs. 7, 11, the work spindles 103 are each rotated by an hydraulic motor (105), Fig. 10 (not shown), via change speed gear drive 114-129. Motors 9 may be replaced by electric motors supplied with current by an electric distributor.
