Abstract

1427854 Writing appliance N PORITZ 13 Feb 1974 [15 March 1973] 6503/74 Heading B6P A writing appliance has two body segments 12, 14 relatively movable to advance/retract cartridge(s) 20, 32. A sleeve 28 on one of the segments engages the other segment to frictionally grip the segments in a desired relative position. The relative movement may be guided by movement of internal protuberance 36 in zone 34 of track 30. Zone 34 may be as shown or slanted to permit screwing together/apart of the segments 12, 14. When two cartridges 20, 32 are used each segment 12, 14 has an apertured outward end, the cartridges only being projectable/retractable together. The non-writing ends of the cartridges 20, 32 may be attached to a post 24 (Fig. 6) 24a (Fig. 7) of a ring 22, 22a which is flexible and able to frictionally grip the inside of a segment 12, 14.
