Abstract
1427586 Electrical heaters SIEMENSELECTROGERATE GmbH 18 April 1973 [18 April 1972] 18860/73 Heading B3A [Also in Divisions F2 and F4] A one-piece extruded heat exchange element comprises a first tube 1 serving to convey a liquid medium to be heated and a second tube 2 containing a resistance heating element. The second tube 2 is shrunk so as to reduce its internal cross-section after introduction therein of the resistance heating element and an insulating substance. The tubes 1 and 2 may be of circular or hexagonal cross-section, Figs. 2 and 3, and be interconnected by a common wall portion 3 or by a web portion 4. In an alternative construction, Fig. 5, the tubes 1 and 2 are concentrically disposed one within the other, the tubes 1 and 2 being interconnected by radially extending webs 5. In a further construction, Fig. 6, tube 2 partly surrounds tube 1.
