Abstract

1426888 Moulding tyres FRIED KRUPP GmbH 15 Oct 1973 [16 Oct 1972] 48003/73 Heading B5A A tyre curing press includes bag clamping members 7, 9 movable vertically into a compartment 6 of a lower mould part 1 whereby the bag is housed in a folded condition. The members 7, 9 are movable upwardly as a unit by hydraulic means 8 to bring the bag level with a tyre carcass placed on the lower mould part, and when steam is admitted to the bag via passages 11 to expand it into the carcass the member 9 is moved vertically until movement of a piston 14 is arrested by the top wall of a cavity 15.
