Abstract
1393641 Moulding tyres FRIED KRUPP GmbH 3 Jan 1973 [4 Jan 1972] 393/73 Heading B5A A tyre vulcanizing press includes a heating bag 1 clamped at its ends in a unitary member 7 movable axially by a piston 8 to align it with a tyre interior whilst pressure medium is supplied via channels 9 to the bag interior to expand it, Fig. 4. After the upper mould half has been applied to the lower half 11 and the tyre treatment completed, the tyre is raised by the lifting of the lower bead ring 3 by a drive 13 which also lifts the cylinder of the piston 8 and the well in which the deflated bag is housed Fig. 6.
