1426787 Mechanical game MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES 20 Nov 1973 [20 Dec 1972] 53777/73 Heading A6H A game apparatus comprises a plurality of projectiles 12, a plurality of compartments 48a-48c each capable of receiving a given number of projectiles, overload means for automatically releasing a projectile when that number is exceeded and a launcher 20 for launching a projectile upwardly so that it may fall into a compartment. The discs 12 are inserted through a hole 30. Fortyeight printed discs are provided, equal numbers of which carry cherries, bells, and oranges. A chart is provided to indicate winning combinations. The launcher has a striker slide 76 pulled down against a spring 64 by a lever 70 until tripped. A rubber band returns the lever 70 to its upright position. Each compartment has one pin 108, Fig. 6, projecting through a hole at its lower left-hand side and two pins 102, 104 projecting through holes at the top and centre of the right-hand side. When a disc enters a goal it becomes wedged against the pin 108 and the right side of the compartment. When another disc enters the compartment it knocks the pin 102 and tilts the lever 96 so causing a projection 116 on the lever to tilt a second lever 94 carrying the pin 108, so releasing the previous disc. Released discs fall into a receptacle 124 which can be tilted back by a lever 142 against a spring to pull its lower edge away from the front face of the apparatus and release the discs into a chute 122. At the same time, the overload means are released by a bar attached to a horizontal arm engaging the levers 96, 46 so that all the discs fall into the chute.
