Abstract
1426696 Hot-blast stoves DR C OTTO & COMP GmbH 19 April 1974 [21 April 1973] 17167/74 Heading F4K In a hot blast stove wherein a mixing chamber 14 for the fuel gas and combustion air preceeds the combustion chamber 13, a longitudinal rib 18 protrudes into the mixing chamber from the wall thereof, said rib being located opposite the supply inlets 15 for the fuel gas and air. In use, the rib 18 divides the mixing chamber into two zones 16, 17. Fuel gas and air enters each zone tangentially and spirals upwardly to the combustion chamber 13 which is joined to the mixing chamber by a conical transition zone 19.
