Abstract

1426615 Bag filter AIR PREHEATER CO INC 7 June 1973 27271/73 Heading BIT A gas filter has an inlet duct 36 supplying dirty gas to a chamber containing tubular filter bags 22. Gas enters at 15, and some heavy dust may fall through slot 42 while the rest is carried up through slot 38 and grating 40 to the filter bags. The bags are cleaned periodically by blasts of compressed air through nozzles 32, and loosened dust falls into hopper 12 which has removal gate 34. Grating 40 serves as a catwalk for servicing bags 22.
