Abstract

1445810 Separating dust from gas W BERZ 22 Aug 1974 [7 Sept 1973] 36971/74 Heading BIT An apparatus for separating dust from gas comprises filter tanks 1-4 each containing a filter layer, and each being connected to inlet channel 11a leading from dust preseparator 10, a filtered gas outlet channel 18 and a dustreceiving channel 16a. Each tank has a flap 5-8 and a flap 12-15 for closing its communication with channels 11a+18 respectively. Channel 16a connects through dust separator 17 and channel 16b with preseparator 10. The outlet channel 18 has a suction pump 34. In Fig. 1 tanks 1, 3, 4 are receiving gas from channel 11a, flaps 5, 7, 8 being open, and are discharging filtered gas into channel 18. Tank 2 is being cleaned by filtered gas from channel 18 passing through tank 2 from passage 24 to pipe 32. The gas picks up dust from layer 41 and carries it through open flap 13 to channel 16a. Screw 36 conveys dust which has settled out in channel 16a to outlet 47.
