Abstract
1426520 Bearings STANKOSTRIOTELNY ZAVOD KOMUNARAS 24 May 1973 24919/73 Heading F2A A hydrostatic bearing assembly comprises two relatively rotatable parts 1,2 between which fluid is supplied under pressure. Recesses 3 are formed in one of the parts which together with the surface of the other part or another part in the assembly, define fluid chambers to which fluid is supplied under pressure via slit throttles 4. The fluid is led from the chambers to bearing pads 5 formed between the two relatively rotatable parts via channels in one of the parts, the channels including a substantially helical portion 8, all the helical portions being formed in an insert in the part. Each bearing pad is situated diametrically opposite to the fluid chamber from which it is supplied.
