Abstract

1426294 Printing F KLAPPROTH 9 April 1973 [13 April 1972] 16916/73 Heading B6C A composite printer's blanket consists of a printing blanket 2 and an independent supporting blanket 1; the printing blanket has a surface layer 6 of thin elastomeric material (e.g. rubber) laminated to a layer 5 of tear-resistant non-stretchable material (e.g. polyethylene tetrephthalate) and the supporting blanket has an outer layer 4 of thick elastomeric material (e.g. polyester or hard rubber) or steel foil laminated to a layer 3 of tear-resisistant non- stretchable material. The blankets may be stuck together at their leading edges.
