Abstract

1393903 Printing plates NEW JERSEY MACHINE CORP 31 July 1972 [3 Aug 1971] 44543/74 Divided out of 1393902 Heading B6C A printing plate has parts 66, 67, 68 formed to give different printing characteristics, e.g. lithographic or letterpress each part being secured to a flexible backing sheet 60. The plate is used in an offset printing machine as described in Specification 1,298,207 and in a printing method as described and claimed in Specification 1,298,205. As shown the part 66 may be a thin lithographic plate of aluminium, zinc or stainless steel, part 67 may be a relief plate in plastics material and part 68 a relief plate made from a rubber material. Parts 66 and 67 have spacers to ensure a constant thickness of the printing plate.
