1424844 Measuring ignition timing of IC engines FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 4 Dec 1973 [7 Dec 1972] 56109/73 Addition to 1348400 Heading F1M [Also in Division G3] A system of setting the ignition timing of an I.C. engine, as disclosed in Specification 1348400 wherein is set out the use of a computer to actuate a locking device for a distributer in response to signals from a pick-up device sensing a groove in a rotating ferromagnetic engine member, is modified by the pick-up being inserted into a hole 100 in the crank-case to sense a projecting ferromagnetic member 112 on a crank arm 106.
