Abstract

1424816 Venetian blind JUSTIN HUPPE 13 March 1973 [17 March 1972] 11961/73 Heading E1J The slats 3 of a venetian blind have return flanges 4 along each longitudinal edge and are secured to the tilt cords 1 by means of a device 10 which is received between the slot and the free edge of the flange 4 and which engages both the exterior of the slat's longitudinal edge (e.g. by means of shoulders 12) and the free edge of the flange 4 to prevent movement of the device relative to the slat. The device may be U shaped having its web engaged in a loop 2 in the cord and its arms received through a slot 6 in the slat's edge. The loops 2 may be formed directly in the cord, the device being secured thereto by a removable pin, Figures 7 and 8 (not shown). The cord may have an auxiliary thread woven therein which defines pre-set bending points.
