Abstract
1423955 Burners JOH VAILLANT KG 30 Aug 1974 [4 Sept 1973] 38062/74 Heading F4T In an oil burner arrangement a fuel valve 4 is operated by an electromagnet 3 controlled by a relay 6 and a blower motor M is controlled by a relay 11 which operates faster than the relay 6. A heat-demand contact 14 closes and. a resulting charging pulse on the capacitor 15 unblocks transistor 21 which then conducts to operate relay 11, contact 10 switching on the blower motor and contact 31 holding on the relay. As the voltage at the base of the transistor 21 falls away it again blocks but current through resistor 23 is sufficient to hold relay 11. Voltage on the collector, at 22, rises and the Zener diode 27 conducts and hence transistor 28 conducts to operate relay 6. Contact 19 is controlled by a flame detector circuit comprizing an ionization electrode. If this contact opens, capacitor 15 then discharges via resistances 16, 17, 23 and relay 11 and the circuit resistance determines the secondary time. The apparatus can be re-started by actuation of the contact 14.
