Abstract

1423867 Structural joints M STRASSLE 2 April 1973 [14 April 1972] 15680/73 Heading F2M In a stand or supporting structure of the kind comprising columns 1 and horizontal supports 2 provided with sliding bolts 12, which project from the ends of the supports and carry a key formation 14 for co-operation with an internal space formed between inner and outer walls 3, 4 of the column so that, after insertion of the formation 14 through the slot 6 and rotation to the position shown, the support can be clamped to the column by operation of a screw or equivalent tightening device 17 cooperating with e.g. a wedging surface 16 on the bolt, location of the supports in the columns prior to clamping is ensured by the provision of a pin 15 on the formation 14 which enters a selected one of a number of apertures 8 in the column inner wall 3. A spring 13 urges the bolt 12 outwardly upon withdrawal of the screw 17.
