Abstract

1336726 Brackets P J DESROCHES 10 Nov 1970 53478/70 Heading A4B [ Also in Divisions E2, F2] The cruciform sheet element shown in Fig.1 may be used in conjuction with band clamps in various ways to secure objects such as pipes. For example, Fig. 4, two worm-operated band clamps 36 are placed over arms 30, 32 and through the slots 18, 20 to secure pipes 34, 40, as shown. Alternatively Fig. 6, (not shown) the arms 30, 32 are not used but the hole 46 accommodates a support bolt for a single pipe. Again, the holes 31, 33 may be used for nailing Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown). In the form shown in Fig.10, a further slot 68 in each arm 12, 14, allows two pipes 62, 64 to be secured in parallel. Two sheet elements may be secured together by holes 46 to allow pipes to be secured at any angle. The band clamps may be secured by bending their ends through the slots 18, 20, or by hammered-down arms 108, 110 on the element, Fig. 20. The elements may be of metal or plastics.
