Abstract

1423818 Vehicle windscreens D H LEESMITH and A T SHERSTON 16 Jan 1973 [20 Jan 1972 10 Feb 1972 22 Sept 1972] 2762/72 6166/72 and 44058/72 Heading B7J [Also in Division E1] Adhesive fixing means (e.g. strips 3) or suckers arranged along the edges of the central portion 7 of a flexible plastics temporary windscreen terminate short of the two end portions 8 which are for engagement in the vehicle's doorways. A row of eyelets 4 are for securing to the windscreen wiper's drive shafts. In use, either the lower edge of the windscreen is slit to engage over the drive shafts and it is tied thereto using tapes threaded through rings of a larger diameter than that of the eyelets 4, or the eyelets 4 may be engaged over the drive shafts. The eyelets 4 may be welded to two separate plastics patches, for securement to the windscreen.
