Abstract

1422910 Steam generators FRIEDRICH UHDE GmbH 14 June 1974 [16 June 1973] 26481/74 Heading F4A Thermal stress in the heating gas tubes 2 of a steam generator 1 is reduced by surrounding the upper portions of the tubes 2 with steam guide tubes 13 whose upper ends are fixed to an intermediate tube sheet 8 while the open lower ends terminate within protective tubes 12. Thus the upper portions of the tubes 2 are contacted only by a high velocity flow of steam as the latter passes to steam space 10. Vibration of the steam guide tubes 13 is prevented by providing their lower ends with locating pins which are accommodated in bulges provided in the protective tubes 12.
