Abstract

1422811 Expanding bracelets RODI & WIENENBERGER AG 26 Sept 1973 [2 Nov 1972] 45119/73 Heading A3H A watch bracelet comprises a series of alternate inner and outer solid links 2 and 3, each outer link 3 consisting of blocks 4, 4', connected by a base plate 5, the two ends of the base plate 5 being bent inwards to form closed and open tubes 7, 8 in which are received members 18, also received in bores 14 in the inner links 2. A helical spring 16 is mounted in each bore 14 and member 18 has its long arm 19 mounted inside the spring 16 and its short arms 21, 21' in the tubes 7, 8. One arm 17 of the spring 16 is supported against a cover edge 13 and the other arm 17 is supported against the back 20 of the member 18 such that under extension the inner links move forwards and then backwards against the action of the spring 16, to permit the bracelet to expand.
