Abstract

1407121 Expansible linkage TEXTRON Inc 19 Feb 1973 [29 June 1972] 8028/73 Heading A3H An expansible linkage for use as a watch strap or the like comprises two rows of overlapping staggered links with U-shaped connecting members having legs 14a. 14b located within the links of the inner and outer rows. Those legs 14a within the inner links contact leaf springs 12b which tend to close the linkage. The inner links 11 are rectangular in cross section while the outer links 10 are shaped as shown to reduce the gap between them when the linkage is curved as around the wrist. The outer links may have ornamental shells 30 and Fig. 15 shows a modified form of the outer links and shells.
