Abstract

1422134 Improved three point linkage P A SHELTON 21 Nov 1973 [20 Sept 1972] 43641/ 72 Heading A1P The upper link of a three point tractor linkage comprises two hydraulic rams 12a, 12b attached to the tractor frame via ball and socket joints 18, 19 respectively, and connected at their rearmost ends to a member 214. The rams are controlled by means of a double acting valve unit 227 which is connected to a hydraulic pump and which together with two locking valves 225, 226 directs the flow of hydraulic fluid to and from the cavities 223, 221 and 222, 224 on either side of each ram piston. The three valves may be adjusted so that the link can be varied in length, moved laterally relative to the direction of advance (in the direction of arrows XY) or caused to become rigid to lateral movement. The power take-off shaft may pass between the two rams 12a, 12b to an implement coupled to the tractor.
