Abstract
1422127 Analogue-to-digital converter BRITISH BROADCASTING CORP 7 Dec 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 58079/72 Heading H3H In an analogue-to-digital converter having a coarse stage 12 and a fine stage 20 responsive to the quantizing error of the first stage, if over- or under-flow of the fine stage occurs the coarse code is corrected by adding or subtracting 1 as appropriate and the fine code is folded back by subtracting or adding the code value at which it overflows (e.g. 16 for 4-bit binary).
