1422095 Presses L SCHULER GmbH 20 Feb 1974 [20 Feb 1973] 7770/74 Heading B5F In a crank or eccentric press having a clutch piston and a brake piston operated by compressed air against the action of springs, the pressure of the compressed air applied to the clutch and brake pistons outside the working portion of the press cycle is lower than the pressure of the compressed air applied to the clutch piston during the working portion. The pressure applied to the brake piston is constant throughout the cycle, is just sufficient for disengaging the brake, and is the same as that applied to the clutch piston outside of the working cycle.
