Abstract

1421658 Agricultural implements L LAVERGNE 29 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 4478/73 Headings A1B and A1F Interchangeable tools for harrowing and hoeing, cutting or harvesting fodder, or chopping or shredding or spreading straw or vegetables, are secured to rotary members 10 carried by beams 9 which are angularly adjustable about vertical axes on a telescopic support arm 6, 7 secured to the front or rear of a tractor, either offset or in line, each beam 9 being provided with a hydraulic motor at location 12 coupled to drive the rotary members 10. The support arm 6, 7 is clamped at 5 to a coupling frame 3 in the Fig. 1 position or obliquely, and may be swung to an in-line working or transport position. The three-point coupling frame 3 and a pivoted coupling bar 2 permit coupling to the tractor. Power is transmitted from the hydaulic motors to the tool support members 10 by flexible belts and pulleys, or chains and pinions. Ground wheels 16 (only one shown) are provided at 4. A shook hook is provided at 15. The tools each comprise a cylindrical tube pierced by holes arranged helically around it and receiving fixed blades or flails, or flexible metal members; alternatively each tool comprises three depending blades.
