1420856 Low calorie bread PILLSBURY CO 31 Aug 1973 40994/73 Heading A2B A dry mix for the preparation of a lowcalorie bread product comprises flour (10 parts by wt.) sugar (0.9-3.6 parts by wt.) finely divided rice hulls and finely divided bean hulls (up to 20 parts by wt. total) the wt. ratio of rice to rice plus bean hulls being between 0.02 and 0.98. Preferably up to 12 parts of rice and bean hulls are used. The bread may also comprise, egg yolk, bread emulsifiers, edible protein, yeast food, antimycotic agents, flavourings and colourings.
