Abstract

1420810 Treating trees J R C ELLIOTT and J F L FLOYD [trading as AERODEX] 27 July 1973 36152/73 Heading A1E Liquid from a pressurised container 1 such as an aerosol dispenser is injected into a hole 4 in a tree through a pipe 3 under the control of a valve 2. The pipe has a conical surface 3a co-operating with a collar 6 which expands to maintain the pipe in the tree. The valve is spring biassed to close and the container is secured to the tree by a strap 7 with sufficient force to hold the valve open.
