1420764 Cellular ceramics CEMENTA AB 29 Dec 1972 [30 Dec 1971] 60043/72 Heading ClJ Cellular ceramics are obtained by adding at least one hydraulic binder to an aqueous starting mixture, which after it solidifies is broken up and the pieces sintered, e.g. at 700-1100‹ C. The binder can be portland. or high alumina cement or blast furnace slag, and the heating carried out in two stages. The starting mixture can contain an A.M. compound, Al 2 O 3 , Fe 2 O 3 , C or a carbon compound. The examples contain water glass, slag, kaolin, silica fume and felspar or clay.
