Abstract

1418368 Loud-speaker cabinets F PLABETT DI GRANATA and S MANZOTTI 14 Nov 1973 [26 July 1973] 52817/73 Headings H4J and H4X Loud-speaker cabinet comprises a two part plastics, e.g. semi expanded polystyrene, moulding, one part 1 comprising a box with one open side, arranged to receive an electric connector, at 9, while the other part is arranged to carry at least one loud-speaker and provides a screened front face for the cabinet. The two parts are held together by screws passing through hollow studs 5 on one part and secured to studs 6 on the other part. The two parts have complementary sections 7, 9, about their peripheries provided with packing to seal the parts when they are assembled. As described the studs 5 and 6 are formed with ends having complementary sections to ensure their alignment, the studs have reinforcing fillets 22 about their junction with the parts and the box section is formed with a rim 11 having a notch 12 to accommodate a lead wire when the box section is mounted on a wall. The front panel 2 has horizontal ribs 3 over its entire surface.
